april wine
yes it's time! for some early wine. this 1972 version of the band features only one member who would still be with the band during their late 70's heyday - singer myles goodwyn. the brothers henman started the band (ritchie on drums, david on guitar, and jim on bass) along with myles goodwyn, their buddy who could sing. jim left shortly after their first record, but fortunately they found another jim to play bass, jim clench. this clip features that line-up, promoting their second single from their second record. this elton john/bernie taupin penned tune follows up the huge hit that put them on the map, "could've been a lady". we here at audio-visions encourage you to sit back, and enjoy some wine!

Double kick dude!
When did it come to pass that April Wine became one of my favorite bands? I should have wrote it down. Did you hear the crazy way-behind-the-beat clapping on this one?
good ear, kooky. it's called the soul clap! not usually heard in canadian tv audiences.
